This guide explains step-by-step how to filter applications, review candidate details, and manage applications through the hiring process.
1. Using Filters to View Applications
Filters help you focus on specific applications based on their stages or AI scores.
1.1 Filter by Stages
Go to the specific job role from the Jobs section.
Click on "Apply Filters".
Choose "Filter by Stages" and select the stage you want to view:
New
Shortlisted
Interview Round
Hired
Rejected
Applications from the selected stage will be displayed.
1.2 Filter by AI Score
Click "Apply Filters".
Select "Filter by AI Score".
Set the AI score range (e.g., 50–100).
Applications within the chosen range will appear.
2. Screening an Individual Application
Opening an Application
Click on the application to open detailed information.
2.1 View the Source
Click the ‘i’ icon on the top left to check the source of the application.
2.2 Check the Status
See the candidate's current status on the top right.
Click "Move To" to advance the application to a different stage, such as:
Next Interview Round
Shortlisted
Hired
Rejected
2.3 Notify the Candidate
After selecting "Move To", a new window will appear.
Use the toggle switch to notify the candidate by email if required.
A pop-up will appear:
Choose whether to notify the candidate about the next stage via email and click on Continue.
Customize the email if needed.
Schedule when the email should be sent:
No delay, 30 minutes, 2 hours, 8 hours, 1 day, or 2 days.
Click "Continue" to send the email.
The current status will update automatically after the action.
2.4 Rejecting a Candidate
Click the 👎 "Thumbs Down" button to reject the application.
A pop-up will appear:
Choose whether to notify the candidate about the rejection via email and click on Continue.
Customize the rejection email if needed.
Schedule when the email should be sent:
No delay, 30 minutes, 2 hours, 8 hours, 1 day, or 2 days.
Click "Continue" to send the rejection email.
3. Adding Comments
You can leave internal messages about the candidate for your team:
Type @ and select a team member’s name from the drop-down list.
Write your message in the comment box.
The mentioned team member will get a notification, and the comment will remain visible under the application comment section.
4. Other Useful Features
4.1 Editing or Sharing Applications
Click the three-dot menu (top-right) to:
Edit candidate details like name, email, or phone number.
Copy the application link for sharing.
5. Exploring the Application Sections
Each application is organized into sections, making it easy to find detailed candidate information.
5.1 Profile
View the candidate’s basic details and AI Matching Score, which shows how well their profile matches the job. The AI Score is generated by analyzing the resume of the candidate with the job description.
Candidate AI Summary will also be generated and visible in this section which highlights key points like skills, experience, and education.
If the application form for a specific job role includes questions, the candidate's responses will be displayed in this section.
5.2 Resume
Preview or download the candidate’s resume for offline review.
5.3 Interviews
Schedule interviews or view previously scheduled ones.

5.4 Communication
Use the two-way communication feature to connect with the candidate:
Go to the Communication tab.
Click “Compose New Email”.
Write the subject and message body.
Click "Send" to email the candidate directly.
5.5 Activity
Track all actions taken on the application, along with the name of the team member responsible for:
Status updates
Application edits
Interviews scheduled
Resume downloads etc.
5.6 Background Checks
To ensure the credibility of a candidate or application, you have the option to conduct background checks. For verification, follow these steps:
Integrate Checkr with Recooty to seamlessly perform background checks on candidates.
Access the background check feature from the candidate's application page.
Initiate the background check process, and Checkr will handle the verification automatically.
