How Interview Kit Works in Recooty

Recooty makes it easy for Admins, Recruiting Admins, and Hiring Managers to schedule interviews. It also allows them to use scorecards to collect structured feedback on candidates. Here’s how the Interview Kit works:

Getting Started

  1. Navigate to the Job Role and Applicant:

    • From the dashboard, find the job role and applicant you want to schedule the interview for.

    • Click on the applicant’s name to open their profile.

  2. Access the Interview Option:

    • Go to the Interview tab in the applicant’s profile and click “Schedule an Interview.”

Choose the Interview Type and Round

  1. Select the Interview Type:

    • Choose the interview format, such as:

      • Telephonic

      • Video-Conferencing

      • Walk-In

  2. Select the Interview Round:

    • Pick the round or stage of the hiring process, such as:

      • HR Introduction Round

      • Technical Round

      • Final Discussion Round

Add Interviewers and Scorecards

  1. Add Interviewers:

    • Select one or more interviewers from the dropdown.

  2. Interviewer Notes (Optional):

    • Add instructions or notes for the interviewers to prepare better for evaluating candidates.

  3. Choose a Scorecard Template:

    • Pick a pre-built scorecard template from the drop-down menu to give feedback to the candidate after the interview.

    • Scorecards ensure consistent reviews based on specific criteria like skills and performance.

Customize Email Notifications

Candidate Notification Email

When you schedule an interview, you can notify the candidate by sending them an email with all the necessary details. Here’s how it works:

  1. Turn Notifications On or Off: Use the toggle switch to decide whether or not the notification email should be sent to the candidate.

  2. Content of the Email:

    1. The type of interview (e.g., Interview Schedule Telephonic - by Recooty) is decided based on the scheduled interview type.

    2. A pre-built subject and email body will appear by default.

  3. Customization:

    1. Add dynamic placeholders such as Candidate Name, Company Name, Job Name, and Interview Time in the email template.

    2. If needed, edit the email content to make it more personalized for the candidate.

Note: The email will ensure the candidate receives accurate and timely information about their upcoming interview.

Interviewer Notification Email

When you schedule an interview, you can notify the selected interviewer(s) via email with all the interview details. Here’s how it works:

  1. Turn Notifications On or Off: Use the toggle switch to decide whether or not the notification email should be sent to the interviewer(s).

  2. Content of the Email:

    1. The type of interview (e.g., Interview Schedule Telephonic - by Recooty) is automatically included based on the interview details.

    2. A pre-built subject and email body template will appear by default to save time.

  3. Customization:

    1. Add placeholders like Candidate Name, Company Name, Job Name, and Interview Time into the email template.

    2. Edit the email content to include any additional details or specific instructions for the interviewer.

Note: The email ensures the interviewer has all the necessary information to prepare for their assignment effectively.

Schedule the Interview

After filling in all required fields, click “Schedule Interview.”

Viewing and Managing Scheduled Interviews

View Interviews:

  • Applicant’s Interview Section:

    • Go to the Interview tab of the applicant’s profile to see details of the scheduled interview, such as date, time, and type.

  • Interviews Section:

    • On the dashboard, go to the Interviews section to see:

      • My Interviews: Your assigned upcoming interviews.

      • Team Interviews: Upcoming interviews for team members.

Provide Feedback:

To submit feedback after the interview:

  • Go to the applicant’s profile and navigate to the Interview tab.

  • Locate the specific interview and click “Submit Feedback.”

  • Fill in the feedback scorecard and add additional comments if needed.

  • Click “Submit Feedback” to save your evaluation.

Edit or Reschedule Interviews:

  1. Go to the scheduled interview in the applicant’s Interview section.

  2. Click on the Submit Feedback.

  3. Use the Edit icon to make updates, such as modifying the interview type, date, or time.
