Recooty provides Admins, Recruiting Admins, and Hiring Managers with the flexibility to add candidates individually or in bulk. Follow this guide for detailed steps.
Adding a Single Candidate Resume/CV
Step 1: Navigate to the "Add a New Candidate" Option
On the dashboard, locate the “Post a Job” button at the top-right corner.
Click the small arrow next to it.
Select “Add a New Candidate” from the dropdown menu.
Step 2: Upload Resume
On the “Add a Candidate” page, click the “Upload a Resume” button or drag and drop the resume into the upload box and click on Next.
Note: Supported Formats: PDF and DOCX.
Step 3: Assign a Job Role
From the Choose a Job dropdown menu, select the job role to which you’re adding the candidate.
Step 4: Review and Customize Candidate Details
Recooty automatically parses the resume and fills in key details, such as:
First Name & Last Name
Email Address
Phone Number
Review the information and modify it if necessary.
Step 5: Fill in the Application Form (Optional)
If the selected job role includes an application form, its questions will appear.
Fill out the relevant questions if necessary.
Step 6: Finish Adding the Candidate
Click Finish to save the candidate to your pipeline under the selected job role.
Adding Candidates in Bulk
Recooty allows you to import multiple candidates in bulk through one of two methods:
If you have a CSV file with all candidate details, such as name, email, phone number, and resume links, use the Spreadsheet Import method.
If you only have resumes available separately for each candidate and no additional details, opt for the Bulk Resume Upload method.
Follow the steps below to choose the appropriate method based on the data you have.
Option 1: Import via Spreadsheet
Step 1: Access Bulk Import
On the dashboard, click the arrow next to the "Post a Job" button.
Select “Bulk Import Candidates” from the dropdown.
You will be redirected to Settings > Imports.
Step 2: Start a Spreadsheet Import
Under Spreadsheet Import, click the “Import New” button.
Step 3: Prepare Your Spreadsheet
Ensure your spreadsheet includes the following fields:
Candidate Name
Email Address
Phone Number
Resume URL
Step 4: Select Job Role
Choose the job role for which you want to add the candidates.
Step 5: Map the Data
Once you upload the spreadsheet, click Next.
If your CSV contains multiple sheets, select the sheet from which you want to add the candidate details.
To ensure all the information is accurately added to the relevant fields on the dashboard of a candidate is in the dashboard, map the columns in your file to fields:
First Name
Last Name
Email
Phone Number
Resume URL
(e.g.: if your sheet contains a column named F_Name, you need to map F_Name to the First Name field)
Step 6: Import and Confirm
Click Next to start the import process.
Once the import is complete, click Close to finalize.
Candidates will now be added under the selected job role.
Option 2: Bulk Resume Upload
Step 1: Access Bulk Resume Upload
Click on your profile picture and navigate to Settings > Imports > Bulk Resume Upload.
Step 2: Upload Multiple Resumes
Select the job role for which you want to add the candidates.
Select multiple resumes in PDF or DOCX format:
You can either select all the resume files together and upload them at once, or drag and drop all the files into the upload box.
Click Upload to process the resumes.
Step 3: View Import Status
In the Bulk Resume Upload section, click on the uploaded file to check the status.
Candidate applications will be marked as:
Completed: Successfully uploaded.
Processing: Currently in progress.
Failed: Includes the reason for failure (e.g., missing required information).
This information ensures that you can track and resolve any issues instantly.
